Darwin is a small but modern capital city of the Northern Territory in north-central Australia. It is accessible by airplane through the Darwin International Airport, which is located 13 km northeast of Darwin, in the suburb of Marrara. Darwin is also accessible by road (only the Stuart Highway, from Alice Springs or Adelaide) or train (The Ghan runs from Adelaide to Darwin twice a week.).
Once you get to Darwin, there are many things to do. There are amazing beaches, exciting nightclubs, interesting dining experiences, and a lot of wildlife to enjoy. There are many natural wonders that are within driving distance from the city. It is a real haven for backpackers, as the landscape has not changed since it was settled many years ago. There are a lot of native animals, like crocodiles, snakes, wallabies, and goannas. There is also the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory and the Darwin Crocodile Farm, which has over 10,000 crocodiles. For those who enjoy nature, Darwin is a true paradise and fun destination.
