People across the world often comment on how Americans do not travel abroad: it's been said that 70 percent of Americans have never been outside of their country. However, this decision not to travel is not one made out of of ignorance or stupidity. Instead, the reason Americans do not travel is simply because there is so much to see and do in their own United States. With such a varied, beautiful landscape, the United States has a very diverse landscape with much to offer its people. The culture of the United States is also diverse; it is made up of many different people, ideas, and perspectives on life. With such a rich world around them most Americans see no need to travel when they have so much to see and experience in their own beautiful country. The United States is a huge country. Once you make the decision to travel there you need to decide what you want to see and do, and you will especially need to decide which areas in particular you want to visit. There is far too much to see and do in just one visit to the country so planning beforehand is extremely important.

Each area of the United States offers its visitors something special. For instance, if you travel to the northeast, you can take in New Yorks famed Manhattan, Washington, and maybe even Boston for good measure. However, if you want to take in California and the west coast as well as the notorious Hollywood, you would need to make separate plans. Do you want to take a trip to the Florida Keys and enjoy the warm weather and unique culture? Or maybe you want to take in the world sights and bright lights that can be found in Las Vegas. The choices in the United States are endless. Planning, as stated, is essential to packing in as much as you can in the shortest period of time. Your plans depend on what you like and what you want to see and do in this beautiful country. No matter where you choose to visit, there is always something fun and interesting to do in all of the states. Americans love tourists and receiving visitors, particularly if you visit outside one of the countrys major cities. The food in all parts of the country is fabulous, the shopping has excellent value, and where else can you see such attractions as the Statue of Liberty or the Manhattan skyline? This is a country that can be visited many times; there is always something new to see and always something unique to experience. Each trip to the United States offers viewers a chance to truly see and feel the countrys vastness, as well as the complexities and diversity of its culture. Do not bank on only seeing the stereotypical American culture,there is more to this country than meets the eye. When travelling, be aware that there is a variety of ways to visit the United States.
