With its well received business class only long haul flights between Luton and New York, Silverjet have just taken delivery of a third plane - a Boeing 767-200. The aircraft was bought from Thomsonfly and the second one Silverjet have bought from Thomsonfly this year (with the previous one being in April 2007). As Silverjet provide a business-class only service across the Atlantic, their planes have less seats and consequently less passengers. Each passenger though does have the luxury of a 6ft 3 bed to relax in/on during the flight. The new plane will be fitted with 106 of the 6ft beds and will start operating in November. The exact route it will fly will be announced shortly - after regulatory approval. CEO of Silverjet, Lawrence Hunt said that their new third aircraft comes on the back of 7 months of consecutive growth with load factors in August reaching 80% for the first time.
