In response to an incdent on 15/17 June 2007 where over 22,500 passengers were stranded at Brussels Charleroi Airport because of a wildcat strike, earlier this month Ryanair stopped taking bookings for flights to the Brussels airport. Ryanair have today reached an agreement with the Charleroi Airport which addressed all their concerns about using the airport - and assurance that passengers will not be stranded again in the future. The Ministry of Transport and the public service unions in Brussels have made an agreement that any strikes will be accompanied by a minimum 2 days notice period which will allow passengers to make alternative arrangements if possible. The Ryanair website is now taking bookings again for those wanting to fly after November 12th 2007. Ryanair is also expected to continue negotiations with the airport to add more routes flying from and to the Brussels Charleroi Airport
