The Ukraine's first low cost airline, Wizz Air Ukraine, has announced it launch new flight routes from Kiev Boryspil to the cities of Dortmund and Cologne in Germany, and from Lviv to Dortmund and London Luton Airport. The new flights will begin operating from 15th January 2009. These routes will be served by the airline's second Airbus A320 aircraft. Under the new plans, Wizz Air Ukraine will be the only airline offering direct flights from London, Dortmund and Cologne to the Ukrainian capital and Lviv that offers low cost fares. Tickets have already gone on sale, with one-way all-inclusive fares for the German routes starting from UAH 199 and UAH 299 for Lviv-London Luton route (an additional GBP 40 charge is imposed by the UK government). Flights can be booked on wizzair. com and via the airline's call centre. Natasa Kázmér, Director of the Board of Wizz Air Ukraine said: 'We are extremely pleased to make Ukraine just as accessible as any other European country to many millions of European travellers. Ukrainian passengers responded very well to Wizz Air's low fares and service standards on our domestic services and they were long looking forward to our international flights. The new international routes will expand the horizons of many millions of Ukrainian and Western European travellers and open doors that were closed before and vigorously guarded by the high fare monopolists.
