BA launches new Caribbean flights

Monday 20 Oct 2008 7:55am

British Airways has announced that it will demonstrate its commitment to the Caribbean by launching new flights to St Kitts and Nevis in 2009. Gatwick Airport will host the new weekly service, to be launched on January 10th. BA claims that it will offer more flights to the Caribbean than any other airline with the new flights. Head of leisure sales Adam Daniels said: 'This new route to St Kitts underlines our commitment both to the Caribbean and Gatwick and re-establishes a connection between the UK and the island. 'The introduction of St Kitts as a British Airways route means that we now operate to 11 destinations in the Caribbean. The region is performing extremely well for us. Our customers also tell us that they feel secure flying with an airline with an established heritage and longevity in the market in these turbulent times. ' British Airways has also confirmed that it plans to increase the regularity of flights from Heathrow Airport to Dubai to 20 per week and boost its services to Johannesburg to 19 flights per week from spring 2009.
