Back in 1997, easyJet started operating from Liverpool John Lennon Airport and in the 10 years since, it has transported over 17 million passengers to 19 destinations. The airline have eight aircraft based at the North England airport and these eight aircraft have carried over 2 million passengers through Liverpool airport in the first 10 months of 2007. The popularity of the airport continues to increase with easyJet recently announcing new services from Liverpool to Lisbon and Innsbruck - both starting in December 2007. CEO of easyJet, Andy Harrison said recently [quote] "The arrival of easyJet at Liverpool ten years ago not only provided the region with direct low-fare flights to Europe but also boosted the local economy with its commitment to investment and jobs in the area. Next week we will build on this success as we launch another new route from Liverpool to Lisbon followed by another route to Innsbruck in December. " easyJet is a cheap flight airline providing low cost plane travel across Europe. easyJet flies to over 300 routes.
