Low-cost airline Flyglobespan launched direct flights to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt from Glasgow Airport this week as part of its winter 2009 schedule. Chief executive of Flyglobespan, Rick Green, said: 'Egypt has been steadily increasing in popularity since we started flying there two years ago and it makes sense to expand that programme. 'Although the market is tight and the economic situation is making things difficult, people still want their holidays. We look to continue that through the winter campaign and give as many Scots as possible the chance of an uplifting trip to the sun. ' Flights to Sharm El Sheikh start at £99. 99 one way, including taxes and charges.
