Hungarian airline, Wizzair has stopped flights from Coventry in England to Gdansk in Poland until further notice. Wizzair has recently launched flights to the Ukraine and the changes to the flight schedule is to cater for the logistics of having these new destinations. The Gdansk-Coventry service was one of the most recently added routes and by suspending this particular service, the least amount of passengers are affected. Sky-Europe and Centralwings have recently stopped flights to Poland - and Wizzair and other airlines look to be restructuring their schedules and cutting routes where there is poor demand. Ongoing increasing in oil prices, airport fares and intense competition have meant that many airlines are struggling to cope. Wizzair stressed that this suspension of the Coventry to Gdansk flight is only temporary and that the airline will resume these flights as soon as possible. Wizzair is expected to suspend additional flights later in the month.
