British Airways has announced plans to improve its facilities at New York's JFK Airport for Premium passengers. In June this year, a new check-in area will be built for Premium, First Class, Gold Club and Club World passengers. First Class and Gold Club passengers will also have a dedicated kerb-side drop-off area right next to the terminal. Club World and Executive Club Silver passengers will also have their own check-in area at the airport away from Economy class. BA's lounges will also be improved to bring them up to the same quality as the new lounges at Heathrow's new Terminal 5. Robin Hayes from BA said [quote] 'The redevelopment project is perfectly timed as British Airways plans to expand the number of flights to the UK as well as launch this June its new OpenSkies airline operating between Paris and New York'. BA have listened to passengers and have vouched to make all the improvements environmentally friendly as possible. Unfortunately there are no planned changes for economy passengers flying from JFK, although Heathrow's new Terminal 5 is running much more smoothly and delays and disruption are minimal.
