Another Superjumbo for London to Singapore route

The world's biggest passenger plane, the Airbus A380 superjumbo will be flying more often between London and Singapore after Singapore Airlines announced that they will be adding a second A380 to the route from mid-July. The current A380 which was the first one ever delivered by Airbus, already flies daily between London and Singapore. The second plane will from July take the number of flights per week by the A380 from 7 to 11 on the route. Singapore Airlines have also announced that in the first 2 weeks of August, they will take the A380 off the London to Singapore route and instead use it on flights to Beijing to cover the increased demand during the 2008 Olympics. The A380 is a double-decker plane with a wealth of luxury and improved facilties for all passengers from economy to first class. The London to Singapore route is extremely popular and often used as a stop-off to further afield destinations such as Australia. With the capacity of being able to fly over 500 people across its two decks, the plane is easily able to handle the demands of the London to Singapore route. One of Singapore Airline's A380s has also just started flying to Tokyo as from early May.
