Bmibaby compiles list of top European Easter events

British airline Bmibaby has compiled a list of the key events and festivals taking place across Europe this year for Easter holidaymakers. Paris will play host to some traditional Easter festivities, with an Easter egg hunt at the Galeries Lafayette shopping centre. Easter holidaymakers will also be able to visit the Foire du Trone, a fair that will be open for business until May 31st. Alicante, a popular Spanish holiday hotspot for Brits, will host the Moors and Christians Festival, bringing together religion and history in a large street carnival during April. The festival's biggest celebrations are held in the Placa Emili Sala and La Placa de Dins public squares. Semana Santa is the week of festivities in Palma, Majorca, designed to celebrate Easter. This runs from the 5th to 12th April and includes a procession through the city's squares and streets. The Gourd Festival is held in Nice's Cimiez gardens from March 29th, with exhibitions, music and good food to celebrate the start of spring. UK travellers can fly with Bmibaby from Birmingham Airport, Cardiff Airport, East Midlands Airport and Manchester Airport to destinations including Alicante, Majorca, Nice and many more.
