From 13th April, American Airlines will move all its Gatwick flights to Heathrow to take advantage of the open skies agreements. The total number of flights to London will not change and stays at 18 flights a day, but rather than flying to Gatwick and Heathrow, all flights from the seven airports in the USA will fly only to Heathrow. The affected flights include New York, Boston, Dallas Fort Worth, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles ad Raleigh Durham. The US airline currently also has flights from London's Stansted Airport and those flights are not affected. Henry Joyner from American Airlines said [quote] "These changes do not impact the total number of American flights to and from London". American Airlines are a major US airline providing domestic and long-haul flights from the USA to all continents in the world. It has recently won awards for the wines served on its business-class cabins on flights. Passengers having booked any flights to London Gatwick should take note of the airport change with all flights now landing and departing from Heathrow. Passengers with tickets should contact American Airlines if they have any questions.
