Medium haul routes will have the surcharge increased from 32 Euro to 35 Euros, and a 40 Euros to 45 Euros increase on popular tourist destinations such as Egypt and the Canary Islands. Long haul flights will see the surcharge increase from 85 Euros to 95 Euros. Air Berlin's last fuel surcharge increase was on the 16th May and the new increase is as a direct result of the steep increase in the price of oil.
