Austrian Airlines has just expanded its Middle Eastern flight network with a new route from Vienna to Amman in Jordan. The new service, which increases the airline's number of destinations in the Middle East to 15, launched in May. An Airbus A320 aircraft operates the flights, and offers a business class option that combines 'Austrian hospitality and Oriental flair' according to Austrian Airlines. Amman's inclusion in Austrian Airlines' network is part of a 'focus east' strategy that has already seen the airline increase its network in central and eastern Europe to 45 destinations. Austrian Airlines customers can now get connections to cities including Dubai, Cairo, Tel Aviv and Riyadh via its hub in Vienna.
