Increased flights between London and Abu Dhabi

Etihad Airways is to add a third additional daily flight between London's Heathrow Airport and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates this winter. From October the third daily flight will give passengers more flexibility about when to travel and will take the number of flights per week to 21 between the two cities. The airline's existing Manchester to Abu Dhabi flights currently operate three times a day. A spokesman for the airline said [quote] 'By adding these new flights to our growing route network we are able to offer a simpler, more convenient travel experience for the flying public. ' Over 306,000 people have flown with Etihad Airways in the last 12 months between London and Abu Dhabi and over 145,000 people having flown on the Manchester to Abu Dhabi route. Etihad Airways is a relatively young airline having first started flying from Abu Dhabi in 2004.
