Air France has launched a new satellite terminal at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. The new terminal is a key part of the Airport's growth with the new "satellite" with direct connecting channels and integrated and efficient bagging sorting system. Air France and passengers are expected to benefit from the new terminal over the coming 6 months with customer service quality high on the list of priorities. An automated train service with services every few minutes links the satellite terminal to the main terminal. The new terminal is expected to handle over 8. 5 million passengers per year, with 30 flights a day expected to use the terminal. Additionally, the new Air France terminal is able to handle the Airbus A380 super jumbo aircraft - with up to 6 being able to be parked at the terminal when flights start in 2009.
