Throughout January, travellers booking flights with Flybe to fly before October 24th will get free insurance against having to cancel their flights if one of the party is made redundant. The new initiative is aimed at giving passengers unparalleled reassurance when booking their holiday. Economic pressures and the ongoing credit crunch as well as job insecurity have prompted Flybe to be the first airline to offer this protection free. Passengers who are made redundant will not be out of pocket and can receive a full refund on travel costs associated with their trip. Mike Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer ofFlybe said [quote] 'These are unprecedented times and Flybe wants to do our bit to keep the economy moving. That's why we're introducing our completely free redundancy cancellation cover so that consumers can book with us in January secure in the knowledge that if they lose their job before they travel, Flybe will give them a full refund. ' 'Flybe will fund in full the insurance costs through our Insurance partner AIG UK Limited and the peace-of-mind guarantee means that if one member of a party on the same booking is made redundant, any or all of the remaining members of that party can receive a refund if they want one. We know that holidays and breaks are important to our passengers and that's why we're introducing what we believe is a totally unmatched offer in the aviation world. '
