The UK's Polish community is strong in the Midlands area of the UK and there is a high demand for flights to and from Poland for family and friends to fly back and forth. To cater for this demand, bmibaby have announced a new Birmingham to Warsaw service that will operate three times a week and starting from 27th May 2008. This new service is in addition to the existing East Midlands to Warsaw service that operates four times a week. A combination of both routes sees bmibaby operating atleast one flight a day from the Midlands (covering Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire) to the Polish capital. Although bmibaby is not the biggest budget/low cost carrier in the UK, it is the biggest operating from Birmingham Airport and has over 350 flights a week going in and out of the airport. bmibaby's commercial director, David Hodger said [quote] "bmibaby
