Singapore Airlines has claimed that the interior design of its Airbus A330-300 aircraft will set a 'new standard' for regional and medium-haul business class flights in Australia and Asia. The first of the airline's new A330 planes was delivered this week and will offer a business class product that includes a lie-flat seat and access to the KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system, which provides users with more than 1,000 on-demand entertainment options. Business travellers with Singapore Airlines will be offered the new option on medium-haul flights to destinations in Australia and Japan from next month. Singapore Airline's executive vice-president of operations and services, Mak Swee Wah, said: 'The delivery of these new aircraft provides us the opportunity to enhance our product offering for customers on regional and medium-haul routes. 'This reaffirms our commitment to constant innovation of the products and services we offer to customers, tailored around their needs on particular flights. ' Singapore Airlines' new A330 product has been designed to complement the existing business class seats on offer in the airline's other Airbus A380, A340-500 and Boeing 777 aircraft. As part of the airline's on-going plans to improve services, the new lie-flat seating will be fitted in other existing medium-haul aircraft.
