Singapore Airlines will soon launch flights to Paris from Singapore, to be served by the airline's fourth Airbus A380. The airline will launch a daily A380 service to the French capital on June 1st, which will replace the existing ten-times-weekly service, operated by a fleet of 278-seat Boeing 777s. According to Singapore Airlines, the A380 will offer 471 seats, allowing growing demand from both business and leisure passengers to be met while contributing to economic development between France and the Asia-Pacific region. Paris will be the airline's fourth A380 destination, after London, Sydney and Tokyo. Singapore Airlines' executive vice-president of marketing, Huang Cheng Eng, said: 'Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris is one of the busiest airports in Europe in terms of passenger traffic. The A380, with its large seating capacity, is well placed to fly there. 'With the aircraft's substantial fuel burn reductions per seat kilometre, it also provides a cleaner, greener alternative for long-haul travel. ' Recent weeks have seen a number of developments in A380 operations around the world. Australian airline Qantas launched the aircraft's inaugural service between London and Sydney, and became the first airline to fly the superjumbo to San Francisco.
