easyJet have announced further expansion at Liverpool John Lennon Airport - adding two more planes to their base at the airport. By 2010, easyJet will operate ten planes from Liverpool and provide flights to 20 main city airports across Europe - from Spain to Poland. The announcement comes shortly after the airline's plans to establish a new base at Manchester Airport - following the acquisition of GB Airways earlier in 2007. Additional aircraft will be based at Manchester bringing the total to 5. Between Liverpool Airport and Manchester Airport, easyJet will have 15 aircraft and will provide a wide range of destinations across Europe to travellers looking to fly from the North West of England. Over 8 million people live within a 60 minute drive of either airports. It is expected that by 2010, easyJet will carry 2. 5 million passengers a year through Liverpool Airport and over 1. 5 million passengers from Manchester Airport.
