British Airways has announced that it will launch new flights to the Caribbean for its 2009-10 winter season. The twice-weekly services from London Gatwick to Montego Bay in Jamaica and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic will commence on October 25th. BA also said it will be increasing frequency to Barbados, Trinidad and St Lucia this year to meet increased demand for travel to the Caribbean. The famous airline will offer 45 weekly flights to the region - more than any other UK carrier; serving 13 destinations. 'These new routes and increased frequencies underline our commitment to the Caribbean,' said Richard Tams, head of UK and Ireland sales for British Airways. 'It's a popular destination with our customers and it's due to demand that we're increasing the number of flights to the region,' he added. People flying with BA can also fly to other popular locations in the Caribbean like Antigua, Kingston and Grenada.
