Cheap flights carrier, easyJet has just taken delivery of their 100th Airbus 319 aircraft. Since September 2003, and less than 4 years ago, Easyjet have taken delivery of an average of one new plane every 2 weeks. As a result, easyJet operates one of the world's youngest fleet of airplanes - making maintenance more straight forward, as well as these new planes being more fuel efficient - friendlier to the environment and also savings get passed onto easyJet customers. Since 2006, easyjet operate the world's largest fleet of Airbus A319's - one of the cleanest and quietest aircraft available. Andrew Harrison, CEO of easyJet said that the high load factors of easyjet flights, combined with high seat densities means that an average passenger emit's about 27% less CO2 than a traditional airline - and the carbon footprint of a passenger is less than a Toyota Prius.
