Mini-Guide To Swansea

Located on the southern coast of Wales, Swansea is the second biggest city in Wales. The Gower peninsular is a short drive away - an area of natural beauty with long sandy beaches - several of which are deemed the best in the UK. The beaches also provide excellent waves for surfers. Swansea has its own university which attracts students from across the country. The centre of the city has changed dramatically over the last 5 years with many larger stores moving to out-of-town premises. In response to this, a large amount of money is currently being spent on revitalising the city centre.

Although the city does have its own airport situated a short drive away - the airport doesn't at present operate any scheduled flights. Neighbouring Cardiff Airport is a 50 minute drive away eastwards down the M4 motorway and serves a number of routes across the UK and Europe.
